Professional Practice:
Udbye is a Global Trade and Supply Chain Executive with more than 20 years experience from private companies and trade organizations, both in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He is finishing his Doctorate in Systems Science and Supply Chain Management at Portland State University. He works as Adjunct Business School Faculty for Pacific Lutheran University and Tacoma Community College. He obtained his MBA from University of Washington, Seattle. His professional certifications include Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP), Certified Supply Chain Analyst (CSCA), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA; inactive). He received a Graduate Certificate in Modeling and Simulation. Udbye is bilingual and a dual U.S. and Norwegian citizen. He has extensive cross-functional skills, including global logistics, sourcing and procurement. Following a career in international distribution and maritime transportation, Udbye was the Executive Director of the World Trade Center Tacoma from 2001 through 2007. Since 2008 he has taught business administration and consulted for several organizations. In 2009 he planned and arranged an official Washington State trade mission to India, and is currently scheduling an official 2011 mission to Scandinavia.
